Faculty Scriptwriting Student Scriptwriting
FW1 – Short Subject/TV Half-Hour: short subject (15-35 pages); half-hour single camera comedy (25-35 pages); half hour multiple camera comedy (45-60 pages). Scripts may be any narrative fictional genre and may be live-action, animation, or a combination of both. SW1 – Short Subject (15-35 pages): Scripts may be any narrative fictional genre and may be live-action, animation, or a combination of both.
FW2 – Feature/TV Hour (90-120 pages features; 40-60 pages one-hour episodes): Scripts may be any narrative fictional genre and may be live-action, animation, or a combination of both. SW2 – Feature (90-120 pages): Scripts may be any narrative fictional genre and may be live-action, animation, or a combination of both.
FW3 – Episodic Short (3-8 page scripts): Scripts may be any narrative fictional genre and may be live-action, animation, or a combination of both. Up to three (3) episodes may be submitted for consideration. Do not submit separate episodes, but combine them into one PDF file separated by a title sheet for each episode. Include as the first page of the PDF file a 1-2 page synopsis describing the show’s premise and main characters. SW3 – Original Television Series Pilot (hour long or half hour long): TV pilot hour (45-60 pages); half-hour single camera comedy (25-35 pages); half hour multiple camera comedy (45-60 pages) Entrants to this category must include as the first page of the PDF file a 1 – 2 page synopsis describing the show’s premise and main characters.
  SW4 – Television Spec (hour long or half hour long): hour (45-60 pages); half-hour single camera comedy (25-35 pages); half hour multiple camera comedy (45-60 pages)
  SW5 – Mobisode/Webisode (5-15 pages): Scripts may be any narrative fictional genre and may be live-action, animation, or a combination of both. Up to three (3) episodes may be submitted for consideration. Do not submit separate episodes, but combine them into one PDF file separated by a title sheet for each episode. Include as the first page of the PDF file a 1-2 page synopsis describing the show’s premise and main characters.
